Favorite Exercise - Diagonal Seat, specifically with hops choreography.
I love the emphasis on a deep tuck and strong upper body posture, all while working to sculpt a strong lifted seat (and shaking like crazy).

I took my first class as a way to start a new year of my life, trying something completely out of my comfort zone...little did I know 2 years later I’d be a certified Bar Method instructor helping others fall in love with the workout as well.
The emphasis on form, deep muscle recruitment, and verbal/hands on adjustments (set your ego aside and get lower!) has allowed me to progress as a climber, skier, fly fisher woman, and runner. My body is stronger, leaner, and more stable than it has ever been all thanks to The Bar Method.

Favorite exercise: STANDING SEAT, great for booty, core and posture!

I started Bar Method classes at the Denver-Cherry Creek Studio in 2012 and was immediately “hooked.” I not only saw and felt significant changes in my body but I also developed a whole new enthusiastic attitude toward exercise and self care. I like to say that Bar Method has changed my body and my life! I am forever grateful!

Favorite Exercise: Arabesque
I was a dancer growing up so arabesque is a throwback to my roots. I love how it sculpts your seat, waist and upper back all at the same time!

After searching for a workout routine that I could actually get excited about and stick to, I found the Bar Method and never looked back. I immediately recognized positive physical & mental changes which I had never experienced before. I previously trained at the Bar Method Hoboken, NJ studio and moved to Denver in April 2016 where the Cherry Creek staff welcomed me with open arms! I love being able to motivate clients to push themselves just a bit harder (or lower!) to achieve maximum results. The Bar Method community is unlike anything I’ve come across and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!

Favorite exercise: Fold Over
Fold Over is by far my favorite exercise. Fold Over works both your working leg as well as your standing leg, offering the most bang for your buck. When I am in the position, even when I start shaking like a leaf, I simply think about the results! I picture a tight, lifted seat and let that vision carry me through the rest of the exercise.
I started taking class at the Bar Method four years ago with a Groupon I had purchased. After exploring a couple other barre classes in the area, I found that the Bar Method was by far the best in terms of attention to detail. The teachers WILL NOT let you dial it in and will push you to your edge every, single class. The sense of community given by the studio was really important to me and led me to train to become a teacher only shortly after I began my membership. I appreciate the intense teacher training program required by the Bar Method because I know that by following their guidelines, I am offering an intense workout while keeping my students safe.

Favorite exercise: Anything seat
Specifically, I love seat work in a turnout, I’m a sucker for the dancers dimple!

I always joke in class that I check my butt in the mirror more often than anything else. In fact, I often leave the house with something on my face or kid food on my shirt but my butt looks good! So naturally, seat work is my favorite. Not only because I want my seat to look better but because each different seat position is challenging in its own way and if you work hard at it, you can engage most of your body’s muscles in seat work.
I have spent most of my life in sports or working out whether it‘s running, spin class, taking pages out of magazines with workouts to the gym (come on, we have all done it:)) or hot yoga. And honestly, Bar Method is the only place where not only have I seen results in all the right places on my body but I have found such a great community of people who love Bar Method for all different reasons. Bar has changed people’s bodies, helped them through injuries, made them stronger for other activities they enjoy and helped them through hard times in their lives. I’m sure there are several other reasons out there why people love Bar Method. That is inspiring to me and as a teacher, I love to find new ways to inspire others through Bar Method.

Favorite Seat Exercise: Turned Out Diagonal- the best of both foldover and standing seat in one!

I began taking Bar Method in 2012, the first week the studio opened in my hometown, Kansas City. It quickly became my home away from home and my exercise of choice. Not only did Bar Method help me grow physically stronger, but mentally as well. In 2013, I went through instructor training and have loved every minute of the journey. My Bar Method mentor, role model, and friend, was the amazing Hoddy Potter, Kansas City studio owner and Bar Method guru. She lost the fight to LLS in late 2015, and I try to channel her dedication and energy in every class I teach. I am continuously inspired by the community of Bar Method, the other instructors, staff, and most importantly the clients. From the first-time clients in our level one classes, to the pros in our Move classes, I love meeting people where they are at and pushing them to be better versions of themselves. I truly believe in and have a passion for the Bar Method and love having the opportunity to instill that in our clients by helping them meet their personal health and wellness goals. In 2017, I moved to Denver and was so fortunate that the Bar Method Denver-Cherry Creek welcomed me into their studio! When not at Bar, I work full-time at a software company, and love spending time with my husband, dog, friends, and very soon, our twins!

Favorite Exercise: pretzel
I like pretzel because it targets my waist, seat & hamstrings all in one, which makes me feel the burn immediately
I was recruited to teach Bar Method in Dallas which led me to receive training in Boston in 2011 & later in 2015 I went to San Francisco for Move training. Over the past five years I have found that my favorite Bar Method exercise is seat work such as Pretzel, Arabesque & Foldover!
In the first class I ever took I was standing behind my Mom in thigh work. I felt the struggle to keep up with her and that was the beginning of a fresh challenge to push my body harder; this is what I love about The Bar Method. In the last five years The Bar Method has kept me in shape and has strengthened my endurance through consistency. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and encouraging others to reach their maximum potential in life and especially being present mentally & physically in class. I am a firm believer in that one can do anything he or she puts their mind to!

Favorite Exercise - arabesque
Arabesque is my favorite exercise. I love this exercise because you can feel it fire up so many different muscle groups (seat, obliques and postural muscles) right away and on good days, it makes me feel like a ballerina.

I went to my first Bar Method class in 2012 and immediately loved the intense, full body work out and the supportive community. Classes left me feeling physically and mentally stronger. It was the first exercise that I was motivated to stick with long term because the benefits keep coming and the classes continue to challenge me to be better. Previously I taught classes in the Washington, D.C. and Bethesda studios. I feel so privileged to be back in my home town empowering clients to prove to themselves how strong they are!

Favorite Seat: Arabesque - it keeps me engaged with my ballet background and I love how it targets obliques too!

I am originally from the East Coast (Boston) and started out as a client at the Boston Back Bay studio way back in 2011. I had a Gilt City deal for a month of unlimited classes. I was home from college for a semester interning at an art gallery and it was right around the corner, so I had zero excuses. After the first class, I fell in love with the method and how much it reminded of the structure of ballet (I danced for 20 years) and the focus on proper form and alignment. After my month was up, I went back to college and started trying to recreate the class in our gym. It was not the same, to say the least! I returned to Bar Method as a client after graduation in 2013. Pretty soon, I saw drastic changes in my body and just FELT better. After getting to know the instructors and other clients, I realized that the people were part of the reason I loved it. I really wanted to part of that community from the inside! In November of 2014 I applied to be an instructor on a whim and made it through auditions and interviews to training in January of 2015. After that, the rest is history! I am so happy that my journey in life lead me to the Bar Method and that it has been something I could bring with me when I moved to Denver this past summer. I knew that I would immediately have a community and support system during my transition to a new city. Everyone has been so welcoming, and I am so thankful to teach alongside amazing, motivating instructors and work with our inspiring clients! Teaching has given me such great skills (leadership, confidence, time management!) that I have been able to bring into my professional life. I am a better person for it!
